Join Marcia Taylor and Charlie King for an evening of song: "Wish I'd Written That!" October 15th, 7pm ET.

Marcia and Charlie performed for many years in the topical folk cabaret ensemble Bright Morning Star. For this concert, they've teamed up to share songs they love, penned by other songwriters, from Sam Cooke to Alex Dobkin, Keb Mo' to Joni Mitchell.

Recently relocated to Portland, Maine, Taylor continues to free lance as musician-at-large, musical midwife, and instigator of all things life-affirming. She has four albums of original songs. You can find her music on BandCamp and SoundCloud.

Settled in Western Massachusetts for years, Charlie tours sporadically and performs on Zoom regularly. You can find his recordings and concert videos on his YouTube channel "Charlie King - Musical Storyteller."

Taylor says, "I make music that is useful, that leaves us stronger, happier, empowered. Humankind might just make it...and I aim to improve the odds that we will."

King's central vision as an entertainer is to leave audiences with a sense of optimism and possibility about the future. "What I most value in a song is the way it helps us see an old reality in a totally new light."
